SFAR and Matterport Bring First Integrated 3D Content Directly into a Regional MLS
Mountain View, Calif. – April 30, 2015 – Matterport, a leader in computer vision and 3D computational photography, announced today that it has partnered with the San Francisco Association of Realtors (SFAR) to make Matterport 3D models directly available through the SFAR Multiple Listing Service (MLS), allowing for easy one-step syndication of Matterport 3D models across all listings. SFAR is the first MLS in the country to offer this feature to its member brokers and agents.
This move on the part of SFAR represents the continuation of its technology-forward approach to real estate marketing. “We always want to provide the ability for our members to include cutting-edge technology that drives more buyer engagement — integrating the Matterport 3D Showcase field does just that,” said SFAR CEO, Walt Baczkowski. “We are proud to be a part of the latest in immersive 3D technology for real estate.”
Brokers and agents are increasingly investing in digital content to drive engagement with their listings. SFAR’s dedicated Matterport 3D field represents another leap forward in the integration of innovative (and mobile-ready) digital content into the real estate buying process. The new field enables real estate content aggregators like Zillow and Homes.com to identify and properly display Matterport’s 3D Showcases, which are distinct from traditional virtual tours. This means that San Francisco buyers can now easily access Matterport’s highly engaging experience through popular syndication networks.
